I'm Chandana Suggala, a senior program management leader with 15+ years driving large-scale enterprise initiatives at PagerDuty, Adobe/Marketo, Infoblox, and Diligent. I have extensive experience establishing PMOs and governance frameworks from the ground up, and coaching and mentoring project and program managers across organizations.
We are at an inflection point in enterprise AI adoption. Organizations are deploying AI tools at unprecedented speed — but the governance frameworks to evaluate, prioritize, and manage those investments haven't kept pace.
Companies are already reporting ballooning token costs, unclear ROI, and difficulty justifying AI spend to boards. The challenge isn't access to AI — it's making sound, defensible decisions about which AI investments to pursue, when, and why.
This is exactly the right moment to build that discipline. The AI Use Case Portfolio Evaluator is my attempt to help organizations do that — applying the same structured governance approach I've used across a number of enterprise programs to bring rigor and transparency to AI investment decisions.

How I built this
This app started as a question I couldn't stop asking: why do organizations keep investing in AI without a structured way to evaluate which investments are actually worth making? I decided to build the answer rather than just write about it.
🔧 The tools
Built using Claude (Anthropic) as the AI evaluation engine, vanilla JavaScript for the frontend, jsPDF for in-browser PDF generation, and Vercel for hosting. The entire app is a single HTML file with no frameworks — just plain JavaScript managing state and navigation across 5 pages.
⚡ The challenges
State management across a multi-page app without a framework was the hardest part — tracking edits, draft saves, deletions, and navigation required significant debugging. PDF generation and Vercel deployment each had their own unexpected complexity before stabilizing.
💡 What I learned
Building this deepened my understanding of AI governance in ways that frameworks and certifications alone don't. I also learned firsthand how to use AI tools as a development partner — using Claude to write code, debug logic, and iterate rapidly on a working product.
More importantly, building the evaluation framework reinforced something I believe strongly: AI governance isn't a checkbox. It's multi-dimensional. A sound investment decision requires weighing business value, risk exposure, regulatory complexity, data readiness, implementation feasibility, organizational change capacity, and cost — all at the same time, against each other, in the context of your specific organization. That's what this tool is designed to do.
